What is Velto Pickleball Club?
Velto Pickleball Club is Brooklyn's premier pickleball facility, occupying 14,000 square feet with four full-size courts and panoramic views of the NYC skyline. The tech-forward facility features premium lounging areas and private phone booths, an Automated Pro Shop for accessories and high-quality paddle rentals, and smart fridges stocked with gourmet meals and snacks. Open daily from 6:00 AM to 12:00 AM, the club offers leagues, lessons, and open play for all skill levels with flexible peak and off-peak pricing for everyone.
How do I unlock the door?
You can unlock the door directly through your booking. Open your booking and look for "Check In and Unlock Door" — either in the app or in the browser.
Do I need to bring my own equipment?
While you're welcome to bring your own equipment, we offer high-quality paddle and ball rentals free of charge for those who need them.
Are lessons available?
Yes! We offer private and group lessons for beginners to advanced players, taught by certified pickleball instructors.
Can I host private events at Velto Pickleball Club?
Absolutely! Velto Pickleball Club is available for corporate events, birthday parties, and other private gatherings. Email events@veltopb.com or submit the inquiry form on our Events page.

There is plenty of street parking available in the area. Please note that there is no dedicated parking for Velto.
Do you provide alcohol?
We are a full health and wellness facility. We are trying to promote a lifestyle that doesn't use alcohol as a social lubricant and instead promotes and encourages new ways of connecting. As such, alcohol is not nor will be allowed on the premises.
Do I need to be a member to play?
No! Velto is open to everyone. You can book a court or join open play any time without buying anything up front. We also offer prepaid packages of open play passes, clinics passes, and court hours, which are entirely optional.
What is the cancellation policy?
For open play bookings, cancellations must be made at least 12 hours in advance. For private court bookings, cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. For private events, cancellations must be made at least one week in advance.
How much does it cost to play?
Open play prices and session lengths vary by session — browse the schedule for current prices. Court rentals start at $80/hour off-peak (one booking covers the whole court, up to four players). Beginner intro clinics are $25 per player. Prepaid packages of open play passes, clinics passes, and court hours are available for regular players. You never need one to book — anyone can pay per session.

Two easy on-ramps: a 90-minute beginner intro clinic ($25), where a coach teaches the rules, scoring, and basic strokes while you play, or a beginner open play session if someone has already shown you the basics. Paddles and balls are included free, and new players can use code INTRO for $5 off a first intro class.

Everyone, from first-timers to Advanced 4.5+ players. Open play and clinics are sorted by skill level, so you're always matched with players near your level. Our schedule uses seven skill colors, in order: white for Beginner / Advanced Beginner, blue for Developing Intermediate 2.75+, green for Intermediate 3.25+, purple for High Intermediate 3.5+, brown for Advanced 4.0+, black for Advanced 4.25+, and red for Advanced 4.5+. We also use pink for women's programming and yellow for all-level and specialty programming. Each session lists its level and any DUPR requirement separately. If you're between two levels, start with the lower one.

The color identifies the skill group or audience, and the program label describes the format, such as regular open play, DUPR Logged, or Coffee on Us. White through red are the seven skill levels. Pink and yellow are categories, not ranks: pink is women's programming and yellow is all-level and specialty programming. The written level always appears beside the color.

Some sessions require a minimum rating; others welcome players without one. Check the DUPR requirement on your chosen session. An advertised level is not automatically a signup gate.
Are all games submitted to DUPR?
Only sessions identified as DUPR-Logged or Earn Your DUPR submit results. A DUPR-gated-only session uses your rating for entry, and games are not submitted.
Why are women's sessions pink?
Pink identifies women's programming. Look at the session's written level and requirements to choose the right fit.
How do I book a court or session?
Everything is booked online through our Podplay system — pick a court rental, open play, or clinic, pay, and you'll get a confirmation. Unlock the door directly from your booking with self check-in; there's no front desk. The club is open daily from 6:00 AM to midnight.
Is there an age requirement?
Players must be at least 10 years old to play. Anyone aged 10 to 17 must be supervised on-site by a parent or guardian who is 18 or older.
